Myella Hotel Resort & Spa

I normally don’t write a review but had to on this occasion, best experience of my life, excellent service, staff were so kind and accommodating, great food, amazing location, rooms are spacious and the ocean view is unbelievable, a huge thank you to Osman for giving us a great room, such a kind soul, I cannot thank you enough! Everyone would serve you with smile, I will definitely go back, thank you all for giving us the best experience during our stay!

This hotel misrepresents itself royally! We went there on an all inclusive package holiday. In the brochure it looks lovely; we'll kept, spacious, very pleasant overall. But. When we arrived at this "family" hotel, there was a full-volume foam party in progress. The music was deafening! As we settled in, more and more things became apparent. The room was decent, albeit with a fine view of the building site across the road. The food was awful, nothing at all like the photos in the brochure (just like the pictures of burgers in McDonald's- the actual burgers are mashed flat, not plump and juicy). There was a lovely smell of sewage around the coffee station all the time we were there. Outside, it proved almost impossible to simply walk around the pool area, because of the parasols. When they were up, the 2 rows almost met at head height in the middle of the narrow walkway between the loungers. The animation team was limited, mostly a dj playing loud club music all day. For a "family hotel", the animation team only seemed interested in catering for the 18-30 age group. The grounds showed no sign of maintenance. Hedges were overgrown, obstructing footpaths. 2 lush green lawns (according to the brochure pictures) were all but dead. Clearly nobody had bothered to turn on the underground sprinklers this season. There were loungers on the tiny stretch of beach. All tatty, dirty and occasionally broken. The beach was dirty, clearly showing again that there was no grounds maintenance going on. I, and several other British guests, were so angry that we placed negative reviews on TripAdvisor. One of the others was instructed to take their review down by the guest relations manager! We love Turkey, but the Myella is probably the worst hotel we've ever been to there.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was not very good or diverse and there wasn’t any sea food except some fish. The food in the Ala-cart restaurant was bad. Only the wine was good there. There are no irons in the reception ?! You can only pay to use their “laundry service”. The biggest minus is that there are cats everywhere in the hotel, including in the housekeeper’s cart where the towels are held. There were cats hair in the towels almost everyday and as a person with cat allergies it was very difficult for me. I had to take medicine because of it. The beach in front of the hotel was not clean enough and there were some vegetables swimming in the water.. However, the location of the hotel is near supermarkets and have a great view. The swimming pool is nice and clean. The music by the pool is nice. The rooms are nice and big enough. Considering the above, I would say that this is 3-4 star hotel.
